Bring your shovels screwdrivers, drills and hammers. We will set up 3 4ft x 4ft raised beds. This will largely be set up and planning. We will plant if we have time.

Needed before Saturday:

• Several pieces of tall bamboo
• Someone with a saw to help cut bamboo into 4 foot and 5 foot segments to make the vertical frames for tomatos and cucumbers.

Preplanning: please let us know if you plan to provide plants.
We currently have:

• 2 Tomatoes
• 2 Cucumbers 
• 6 merigolds (essential for pest control)
• Horseradish (provided by neighbors) 

We have room for:

• Up to 2 more tomatoes or tall growers like sugar snap peas. 
• Up to 8 medium plants like peppers, egg plants, broccoli, etc.
• Up to 6 squares of small plants: flowers, letttuce, radishes, carrots, herbs which can be grown from seed or starts. This would be ideal for the children's garden.

Westwood's community garden has a bed planted and maintained by their neighborhood's children. We will see we have kids interested in this at the meeing.
